Sophie Vitelli (SE/IT) is a Stockholm-based composer and sound designer. Her recent work focuses on composition for guitar, modular synthesis, and acoustic instrumentation, following several years of collaboration with choreographers and performance-makers.

Drawing on her backgrounds in film, anthropology and classical guitar, she explores musical materials as world-building devices, exploring the intersections of affect, memory, and imagination. Her practice approaches composition as a way of shaping perceptual encounters, using minimalist forms that engage with harmony, spectrality, and alternative tuning systems.

Sophie is a board member in Konstmusiksystrar and is part of the artistic team at Sound of Stockholm. She is half of the artistic duo PHANTA, with choreographer Frida Giulia Franceschini.
