Sophie Vitelli (SE/IT) is a Stockholm-based composer and sound designer. Her recent work focuses on composition for guitar, modular synthesis, and acoustic instrumentation, following several years of collaboration with choreographers and performance-makers.

Informed by her background in film, anthropology, and classical guitar, her practice investigates musical materials as world-building devices that negotiate the relationship between embodied memory, affect, and collective imagination. This process unfolds through minimalist compositional strategies centred on harmony, modality, spectrality, and alternative tuning systems.

Sophie is a board member in Konstmusiksystrar and is part of the artistic team at Sound of Stockholm. She is half of the artistic duo PHANTA, with choreographer Frida Giulia Franceschini.
